Frown Lines
Frown Lines
Frown lines are wrinkles or creases that appear on the forehead and between the eyebrows as a result of repeated facial expressions such as frowning or squinting. These lines are often referred to as “11 lines” because they can resemble the number 11 when they appear between the eyebrows.
The development of frown lines is a natural part of the ageing process, as the skin becomes less elastic and loses its ability to bounce back. However, certain lifestyle factors like sun exposure, smoking, and stress can accelerate the formation of frown lines.
Botox injections are also commonly used to temporarily paralyse the muscles that cause frowning, which can smooth out the appearance of frown lines by 50-80%.
