Forehead Lines

The horizontal forehead lines, also known as forehead wrinkles or furrows, are the lines that appear on the forehead as a result of repeated facial expressions, such as frowning or raising the eyebrows. These lines are caused by the contraction of the frontalis muscle, which is responsible for raising the eyebrows and creating the wrinkles on the forehead. Make up can sometimes settle in these lines and can emphasise the wrinkles and therefore use wrinkle relaxing injections for a smoother result.

As we age, the skin loses elasticity and collagen, which can make these lines more prominent and deeper. Other factors that can contribute to the development of forehead wrinkles include sun damage, smoking, and genetics.

Botox injections are also commonly used to temporarily paralyse the muscles that can smooth out the appearance of lines by 50-80%.
